This course will cover BLS for children and adults The BLS course is a prerequisite for PALS/ACLS

Educational objectives

1. Describe the key components of high-quality BLS based on current guidelines
2. Perform airway management, including bag mask ventilation (BMV)
3. Demonstrate the proper compression rate and depth for adult,children & infants
4. Recognize the importance of early defibrillation and use of an AED
5. Explain the scientific basis for BLS guidelines and emergency response sequencing
6.  Identify basic cardiac rhythms related to BLS and identify shockable vs non-shockable
